Forces at Work - "Just Metal"

The band Forces at Work has been in its current formation since 2007, with Sebastian „Wischa“ Wischermann on vocals, Sabir Salkic on drums, Adrian Weiss and Mischa Blum on guitars and Marcel Willnat on bass. Founded in early 2000 this band developed its music into a direct, powerful and energetic style that the members of the band like to refer to as “straight”.

The band’s musical direction bears some resemblance to groups like “Alice in Chains”, “Death”, or “Dillinger Escape Plan”, yet without applying stereotypes or repeating familiar style patterns.

Forces at Work intoxicate their audience with sweeping songs that mesmerize after only seconds. The band manages this with a skilful combination of the best elements of Thrash, Power and Death Metal while applying the depth and emotion of blues and lighting it all up with funky and classical/Spanish guitar sounds. The music never sounds forced or overdone, for it follows the natural and clear flow of the musicians’ energy.

The band never loses its focus on creating good and well-structured songs that delight the audience and immediately turn listeners into fans. The choruses play a major role here, they are the center of attention and hit the nail on the head.

Asked about their music style, the Forces guys simply answer: “just fat and heavy metal – no less and no more.” “Just Metal” – that’s exactly what Forces at Work want to present as often as possible, live on stage in 2011 and in the following years, because they love playing live and celebrating great metal parties.

The band effortlessly combines elements that at first don´t seem to match: Metal, Blues, even World Music. The band unites these in a mix that combines the best that international metal has to offer and with it excels live on stage, bringing the audience to its knees while banging their heads and hearts. Forces at Work simply play Metal – “Just Metal” – and highlight the essence of metal fans in 2011.

Now – having successfully finished the production of the first full length album – the band is consistently pursuing future goals: finding an adequate label/ record company to publish and promote the new album; playing live as much as possible to win over many new fans; write new songs; and return to the stage again and again to rock like hell.

Forces at Work – That’s powerful, rhythmically and melodically mesmerizing as well as groovy stage presence that takes no prisoners and enthrals its listeners with virtuosity.
